I'm a media artist interested in education, collaboration and community communication. Currently, I am the director of Medfield Community Access, a small public access station in eastern Massachusetts. I'm also the producer of the 100 Second Film Festival and hop to use Spin Xpress to further both of these projects.
100 Second Film Festival- Group dedicated to sharing high quality 100 second videos for screenings and projections of the 100 Second Film Festival. This repository of videos is the raw material to hand pick and create your own compilation to project anywhere you'd like. It's a traveling, fluid, remixable film festival. With new submissions coming all the time, and new curators providing their own angle, the festival is never the same experience twice. Our first screening for 2007 is scheduled on October 6th. There is plenty of time to get involved.
Alpha tester Delux- A group for alpha testers to see if new releases work. Let's play!!!! Just grab the latest video and add to it.PEGshare- This is a group for PEG stations (Public, Education, and Government) to share content amongst themselves. Files can either be MPEG2 or MPEG4 at broadcastable quality (5MB MPEG2 or 1.5MB MPEG4 at 640x480, 29.97, deinterlaced). Divx and Xvid files are also acceptable. Please license every video appropriately as some members of this group are highly concerend about using proper clearance rights on everything they broadcast. If your video includes non-copyright cleared material (such as music) please make sure to let people know in the dsectiption.testingaccess- A test for how a community media center could use spin xpress to improve their workflow
