I'm a videoblogger and part of the SpinXpress team. I also run Freevlog.org so if you have questions about things, I'm a good person to ask. I'm really interested in cross-cultural collaborations. I've been involved in two big one - Alive In Baghdad and Swajana. I'm also into Machinima made with Second Life and would love to find someone to work with on that. Check out my latest machinima videos.
I am one of the two Bui Brothers that produce the popular show Noodle Scar. I have been producing online video for 2 years and teaching others how to at OCvideoBlogging since 2006.
From January 2006 I will become the latest in a long line of DG (dumb gaijin) to undertake the odyssey that is teaching English in the Land of the Rising Sun. I know I'll be living in Kyoto, but what happens next is anyone's guess. I'll be chronicling every step of the way. If you've ever wondered what life is like for your average chain school gaijin, you will find out as I do. If you're planning on joining the DG club you'll be needing a tour guide... I guess that's me.
I'm a music fan living in Chicagoland. My mom started teaching us to sing harmony from an early age. I taught myself piano starting about age 13, fell in love with acapella music and have enjoyed music ever since. "The aim and final reason of all music should be none else but the Glory of God" J.S. Bach.
I am a Philomath and a Philosopher.
must of my videos are upload on My YOUTUBE CHANNEL
I'll be posting a few videos about me, my interest, my passion, my knowledge and understanding.
For questions about Haitian myth, culture or languages, just send me a message. I will feature the questions on my next vid:

P.S. Don't worry, you wont have to wait for the video the hear your answer lol. I'll just share the answer with the world. Which will help me not to answer the same questions over an hundred time :)
Share a few thing about my culture, learn a few about yours. This is what i am about.
Having finished and graduated university in Media Tech I'm now teaching part time and providing support in this area.
My name is Nick Schmidt. I swam at Eastern Illinois University where I earned an accounting & MBA degree. After graduation in 2005, I did the normal thing and moved into an accounting job. I am an accountant by day and a video blogger (vlogger) by night. As you can see I am not your average accountant. A vlogger is just like a blogger. However, instead of writing blogs I produce, edit, and even make music for my videos. I use my videos to express my creativity and life passions. I have been recognized by MTV and VH1 after my article in the Wall Street Journal. I was featured in the Wall Street Journal (10/3/06 section D1 "Virtual Reality TV") after placing 2ndAmerica's Dream Date" competition by Gofish.com. Placing 2nd allowed me to win a trip to Las Vegas, where I attended the Billboard Music Awards. I covered video footage backstage with the creator of Techiediva.com, Gina Hughes. I have been an editor for Techiediva since April 2006. Techiediva.com was selected by PC Magazine as one of the top 100 websites in 2006. All of my experiences have provided me the ability to be involved in various technological projects. I have spoken at the downtown Chicago Apple Store a number of and I am currently teaching video blogging at the local Apple Store on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. I have also spoken at the three day panel of the Art Institute of Chicago campus for the Motion Graphics Festival. Due to the increasing usage of video in consumer product marketing, I had the opportunity to be a guest for the Chicago Interactive Marketing Association’s (CIMA) "User Generated Content" panel, which also included the V.P. of Edelmen, V.P. of Myspace.com, and the CEO of Blogger and Feedburner. My most recent project consultation is for ProjectElliott.com where I am assisting in the in the " development of videos for the company’s new social network of job search.
The Reese Project, a compelling, mesmerizing quartet of masterful musicians, performs real jazz, including standards & their own originals. They have created a new jazz sound: "East Coast Cool." They're appealing to see & hear (listen for Tom's trademark "Yeah!") and have played to sold out venues & multiple standing ovations. The unique instrumentation of the group & their "outside of the box" approach has critics raving with their fresh approach to traditional jazz. A "must see," The Reese Project will leave you wanting more & more "East Coast Cool." Tom Reese, flute, writes most of the band's material. In performance, his highly-charged, soaring flute lines carve new sounds out of traditional forms. Laurie Haines Reese, cello, adds a unique flavor to the band with the electric cello. Her shredding sound and acoustic bass lines compliment the creative edge in the original works as well as the standards. Bobby Brewer, guitar, sends the band stomping & growling into the aether. Aaron Walker, drums, captures the motion in the rhythms and drives the sound. With a nod to past masters, the original jazz created within this group of musicians steps in a new direction, while staying squarely within the boundaries of real jazz. It's definitely music for fresh ears. Performing jazz standards, funk, blues & originals, The Reese Project includes something for everyone -- from Bach to the Beatles. They have played to packed houses throughout the US & Canada (even in a major snow storm!). Their influences include Miles, Coltrane, Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, Mark O'Connor, Yo Yo Ma, Modeski Martin & Wood, John Scofield, Pat Methany, Ellington, Monk, Grisman, Grapelli, Turtle Island & Kronos String Quartets, and classic rock bands. The Reese Project has released seven CD's. “Live from Ft. Worth (2006), was recorded in August of ‘06. "Vicodin Dreams" (2005), reached #53 on JazzWeek charts and stayed in the top 60 for two months. "Blue Etude" (2002), was in the top 20 in the 2002 Grammies. "Apocalyptic Hayride" (2004), had a song on WRTI’s Hot 11 for an unprecedented three months. Earlier CD's include "Dark Kat" (2003) & "Viewpoints" (1997). They were selected to be on WVIA's "Best of 30 Years of Homegrown Music" CD; Lancaster Jazz compilations, several Christmas compilations & other honors. Band members have worked with Les Brown, Petula Clark, Stanley Clarke, Norm Crosby, Jay Daversa, Gloria Estefan, Larry Gatlin, Robert Gordon, Charlie Grace, John Guerin, Phil Harris, Roger Kelloway, Tom Larsen, Jerry Lewis, Melissa Manchester, Henry Mancini, Chuck Mangione, Shelly Manne, Valery Pomoronov, Jerry Reed, Jeanne C. Riley, Chita Rivera, Bobby Rydell, Ira Sullivan, BJ Thomas, Rufus Thomas, & others. "I caught three fabulous acts Sunday at the Lancaster Jazz Festival. The headliner, Kurt Elling, kept the listeners there, but for my tastes, the second act, The Reese Project, stole the show. This unique combination with a soloing cello playing bass lines, amazing soloist Tom Reese making the flute viable as a jazz instrument & soaring vocals by veteran vocalist Ron Smith proved that unique instrumentation equals great jazz" (Logan McKinney, "New Waves in Radio"). THE PLAYERS: Tom Reese, flute & composition. A captivating performer, Tom’s strength’s are in his warm sound & driving melodic lines. Called "multi-lingual," his versatility knows no bounds. From composition to folk music, to jazz & blues, classical, even rock’n’roll, this eclectic musician combines elements from all musical genres to create his unique sound. Tom is an innovator, whether in composition, education, or performance.
