About

I'm a filmmaker , but I graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a painter and spent some twenty years painting large abstract canvases. The principles of Modernism which I consider to be Conceptualism , Pop Culture , and Minimalism are principles I use in my films . My interest in film is as it was was in painting - self expression - this I sometimes do through self portraiture .

Groups

IconOutsider Filmmakers- Filmmakers whose films are RAW meaning self expression from your gut . Outsider means you are self taught , but outsider also means it is honest and in my opininion that is what true art is . This can also be considered a kinda Film Art Brut or even Naif Film . Please nothing blatantly pornographic ; although racey stuff can be apart , we are also accept , but do not encourage any socio'political films .

Description: A film that started by photographing the 'orange fences' that outline construction sites. This digital film I manipulated in After Effects many times and have many versions and I will make you suffer with no more versions . I promise - I know my films don't have very much action , but that is my style , Anyway , The film is self - explanitory just that the music is kinda interesting it's real partisan ambient audio they used to communicate in the woods in WWII in Eastern Europe.

Description: This is not a statement on the Chrristian faith. When I made the piece , originally it was an attemt to make the Stations of the Cross - a repetative film that I have remade involving a self portrait and an execution by electric chair . I only chose theme or course because the audio by 'Sondenz'' whom I gratfully found on Internet Archive seemed to me to fit so well .
